Everyone loves a glass of prosecco or two don’t they?! Over the last few years prosecco has become increasingly popular and rightly so, it is delicious! Our last ‘Supplier in the Spotlight’ for 2017 is the lovely Tiffany, owner and founder of her fabulous business Prosecco at Tiffany’s.
I first came across this quirky prosecco van whilst scrolling through my Instagram feed quite a few months ago so jumped at the chance to meet Tiffany in person and hear more about her new business. It turns out we live very close to each other which is a bonus!
Hear all about Tiffany and her fizz van below and get in touch if you are interested in hiring Purdy for your wedding or special event.
What inspired you to set up your prosecco business?
In summer 2016, I attended a few food & drink festivals where gin was in the spotlight and I thought how fun it looked to do something that you are passionate about and to work in that kind of environment such as festivals, as I’m a big festival goer myself. For many years I have worked in a corporate environment and after a particularly bad week at work, it gave me the kick to start looking at starting my own business and so Prosecco at Tiffany’s was born.
Where are you based and how far do you travel for weddings and events?
I am based in Chapel Allerton in Leeds, I do a lot of events in the midlands as that is where I am originally from, so it’s good to be able to combine events and “home”. I am willing to travel throughout the country for weddings and events.
How far in advance would you suggest couples book?
I believe booking 12 months in advance is preferable if you have a specific date/time of year in mind. I require a 20% deposit to secure the date with the remainder due two weeks prior to the event.
What type of packages do you offer?
I offer different set packages, free hire and tailored options to suit specific requirements. I love to understand people’s events so I’m very happy to discuss in detail, whether it be on the phone, over a coffee, or Prosecco!
Do you offer any additional drinks?
Gin can also be included, I love a “Gin Fizz”, made up of Gin, Elderflower and Prosecco. I will also be offering Peroni next year, keeping with the ‘P’s’ and Italian! On request, “posh pops” can also be served, handy if children or people who prefer non-alcoholic drinks are in attendance.
What’s next for Prosecco at Tiffany’s?
Once I have finished my Christmas parties, I will be taking Purdy to have a re-spray so she is all shiny ready for next years events! I am also working on some illuminated sign designs with a company in Leeds so I’m looking forward to this being completed.
After speaking to another exhibitor at a wedding fair recently, we are looking to put on our own Prosecco and Pizza night in Summer 2018 so I’m very excited to start planning this!
Thank you to Tiffany for taking the time to tell us a little more about your lovely business. We look forward to seeing lots more of Purdy in the New Year, love the sound of the pizza and prosecco nights!
